Cockburn Electrical Company (CEC) is an electrical contracting business that was establish in 1976. Over the previous 40 years we have built up a wealth of experience and knowledge in many areas and across a range of industries. Along with CEC, our sister company Power Intelligence provides energy saving solutions to the industrial, commercial and domestic markets.
CEC has the experience and expertise to undertake all your installation, control systems, maintenance and breakdown service requirements; whatever the day or time. Our Bibra Lake office manages all administrative functions including tendering, sales, design, procurement, operational resource organisation, manufacture and assembly, quality assurance, OH&S and project management.
We have the capability to add additional resources on an "as and when needed" basis; to ensure our installation, design and service contracts are always managed efficiently and in a timely manner to the satisfaction of our clients. For example for the Chevron Gorgon project CEC employed over 100 electricians and apprentices.

Roger Ward - Managing DirectorRoger has over thirty-years’ experience in the electrical industry, with over twenty years’ experience in controls systems project management, and fifteen years in the electrical contracting.
Some career highlights: $11m Gorgon transportable buildings (164 chassis kitchen\diner seating 3,500 people per sitting), Australian Defence Force electrical projects from MV\LV substation installations to Sub-metering to lighting control systems for the SAS Regiment. $48m Western Power Kwinana Power Station control system integration, over 30 plus gas metering stations in Victoria, Gas turbine waste heat plant control systems, HV\LV electrical substation SCADA control systems. Steve Lawford - Estimating ManagerSteve has over thirty-years’ experience in the electrical industry, with over Fifteen years’ experience in Managing/Supervising projects, Estimating, Service work Coordination, Material Procurement & Labour Control across Domestic, Industrial and Commercial Projects .

Nick Ward - Senior Project EngineerNick has ten years' experience in electrical engineering and project management and is a Chartered Engineer on the National Engineering Register. He also holds an international qualification in Project Management (PMP).
Some career highlights: Roll-out of Defence Force smart metering project on multiple WA bases, forty plus roll-out of voltage optimisation transformer systems, full upgrade of Defence site HV ring including 6 substations and over 2km of HV cable installation. Wayne Jessop - Senior SupervisorWayne has extensive experience as an electrical supervisor across a wide range of commercial and industrial projects.
With 30 years experience in the electrical contracting industry, projects include the Perth Airport T1 expansion, Karratha Senior high school, Swire Cold Storage facility in Welshpool WA as well as HV works including Mungullah Power Station in Carnarvon, HV kiosk installations in Newman and Tom Price and 33Kv overhead line extension in Lancellin. |
